It had just rained as we were dropped off at Goshavank. My personal favourite church in Armenia since my first visit in 2008 as a child. I wanted to finally paint and capture this cloudy scene above the church that has been embedded in my memory all of these years, with the swallow flying above against the gloomy sky. Part of my collection of paintings from my last trip to Armenia in 2023, I hope to capture these one of a kind moments from my homeland and document the beauty of my culture.
